Matthew Fashion

I have found the greatest living American.

There's this show... "Without Prejudice". You take five strangers (picked strategically for a balance of views from the compassionate to the utterly ignorant to the hard-nosed heartless) and have them choose a single person from a pool of five other candidates to receive 25k no strings attached. It's a slightly awful show but it IS a very interesting sociological experiment.

Anyway. When the producers found Matthew Fashion they… Continue

Did I rate your photo?

I'm doing a bit of photo rating here and there. Here's the criterion:

1 Star (none that I can remember) This picture made me sneer.
2 Star In my opinion... you wasted your time
3 Star I'm left rather indifferent, but it wasn't poor.
4 Star I liked this. I approve of your choice ( I am the lord of approval. Bow before me, mortal.)
5 Star (only the Janitor from 'Scrubs' thus far) I LOVED this image and think I may want to have sex with you... except the guy who posted The… Continue

Advanced mathematics

I am currently working on calculating the precise ratios of ice to Dr. pepper and Inexpensive rum that will yield the most drunkenness with the least amount of caloric overkill yet still won't make me wince when I swallow it.

It turns out I'm an alcohol snob. Champagne tastes on a beer budget? NO! Too common for this cat. I am in fact cognac tastes on a rotgut vodka budget. Seriously. Look into the E&J X-O brandy. It's the best quaff for the cash I've found. Less than 20 bucks, but… Continue

I reach for an aspirin since my left arm is going numb.

It used to be that just the hopelessly mediocre gave their precious offspring names that sounded like the list of designers of garden party accoutrement. Ashley, Courtney, Britney, Taylor and Tyler. I mean, 20 years ago, these were sort of interesting names. But jump forward 10 years and any random volley of mortar shells that you might fire over the wall into your neighboring elementary school would be as likely to hit a barn ow… Continue

I'm with Elimare - I've been 2nd in the list of "highest contributors" of photos - but if you can add them for free, um why the heck wouldn't you?

Ok it's really warm in this room I'm going back into my bedroom to watch ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT SEASON 3, my last birthday prezzie from my boy. Hurrah!

Heh, um thanks I think.
Although I'm beginning to believe that although there are 600+ people signed up here, there are only 20 or so of us who are adding anything to our blogs \ photos.

You crack me up. Yes, what is it with all the little unstoppable rats who just "enjoy chatting online" with any female possible? Yes, as well, I suppose I am a geek for listing Tom Stoppard as a favorite writer. Isn't his use of language wonderful?

The name might mean bridge, or bread, depending on how you read it; I'm guessing it's gotten a little mangled in anglification... Norway is cold and expensive, I'd avoid it at all costs if I were you. :)

Why, Thank you - I was once bitten by a radioactive library card!
Thank you for the recommendation 'Snow Crash' was an instant favourite - I should have already listed it. Rectification Engine Go!
I may have to look at Roth, I've done a DeLillo and really ought to get round to him and Irving at some point. I'll weigh it up was I'm finished with 'Accelerando'.

Cheers,
C

Plays are great things to write. I think I should do one too but...it's hard to come up with compelling ideas.
